Version 1.3.0

Upcoming

The new live tracker for the table, a cleaner Dashboard without tabs, searchable "My Cards", a new statistics filter, and many fixes to statistics and game results.

Live tracker

  • New live tracker for the table: life, commander damage, poison, commander tax, Monarch/Initiative and your own counters (treasure, storm, energy …) per player – with undo/redo and a full history.
  • Start it for a saved game (from the game details or right when creating it) or as a free game without a game entry, which you can enter as a game afterwards.
  • Roll for the starting player, dice and coin, high roll, "random opponent", swap seats, portrait and landscape, and each commander's record at the table.
  • At the end you confirm the winner and the tracker prefills the result editor – winner, win type, eliminations and final life. You check everything before it's saved.
  • Live-tracked games show a life chart, a commander damage matrix and a per-player summary in the game details.

Dashboard & statistics

  • The Dashboard opens straight into the statistics – no tabs and no bottom navigation bar. Challenges and Group statistics are quick links at the top; Card Search is the magnifier in the top bar or in the side menu.
  • The statistics filter now also picks whose statistics you see – together with time range and game mode.
  • "My Cards" can be searched, filtered and sorted, and shows five cards first, more at the tap of a button.
  • Statistics only count games with an entered result – a game without a result no longer counts as a loss for everyone at the table.
  • Head-to-head details and card match-ups follow the selected time range and game mode.

Favorites

  • Favorites are now one shared list for the whole app instead of one list per player; existing favorites were merged.
  • The Favorites screen has search and filters, and when adding favorites you pick several cards in a row – tapping one again removes it.

Bug fixes

  • The head-to-head list shows the right number of shared games and matching win rates.
  • Time-range filters no longer exclude games from the last day.
  • Games can be saved again after removing a participant who had eliminated someone; after moving the win to someone else, the old winning round disappears.
  • Deleting from an edit screen goes back to the list instead of a "not found" page; notes you only typed are no longer lost when swiping back.
  • The 32 Challenge now suggests a fitting commander for Jeskai (white/blue/red).

Version 1.2.1

September 18, 2026

A small maintenance update with internal improvements β€” no new features in this version.

Version 1.2.0

September 17, 2026

Favorites, turn order, and elimination/life tracking in game results, a redesigned dashboard, and a handful of bug fixes.

Favorites

  • Mark cards as a favorite for yourself or any other player β€” via the star on the card, or the dedicated β€œFavorites” view in the menu.
  • Favorites appear as their own section, always shown first, in every card picker in the app, alongside β€œRecently played” and Scryfall search.

Recording games

  • Turn order: drag to record who went first, with a seat-based statistic (does going first actually help?).
  • Elimination & life: record per participant whether/when/how they were eliminated and their final life total β€” with new statistics for survival rate, common elimination causes, and life totals.
  • Creating and editing a game now runs through a single, combinable form instead of several sequential steps.

Who am I

  • β€œWho am I” is now a one-time, persistent setting instead of a per-game flag β€” a short wizard on first launch walks you through setting it up.
  • Player profiles are now always available (no toggle needed) β€” only play groups remain an optional, toggleable feature.

Dashboard

  • Redesigned Dashboard with its own tabs for player statistics, Challenges, and (if enabled) play groups, plus an indicator for games still missing a result.

Settings

  • New: an Activity Log (every notable change in the app, filterable), a Network Activity Log (Scryfall card lookups), and an Offline Card Cache view (how many cards are currently cached for offline use).
  • Every card the app has ever looked up now stays cached for offline use permanently.

Removed

  • The Tribal Challenge was removed after user feedback β€” the 32 Challenge remains.

Bug fixes

  • Card search now shows a neutral message instead of an alarming error for a search with no results.
  • Card images now display correctly for certain double-faced cards.
  • Fixed a crash when creating a player whose name contained a double space.
  • Various smaller display issues in the statistics views were fixed.

Version 1.1.0

August 25, 2026

The first release of Magic Stats – with everything the app offers today.

Tracking games

  • Record Commander and Commander Teams games in a guided wizard: participants, cards, team assignment, win condition, and notes.
  • Cards are assigned directly to participants – from a searchable list of previously played cards, or via Scryfall search if a card is new.
  • Already-saved games can be edited at any time afterward; the result is entered separately once the game has ended.

Statistics

  • Personal statistics on commanders, cards, opponents, and game history – for yourself, or, with the Players feature enabled, for any other player.
  • Card rankings and matchups across every game, independent of the Players and Groups features.
  • Direct head-to-head comparison between any two players.
  • Group statistics: leaderboard, pod-size distribution, color performance, and activity timeline for a single play group.

Challenges

  • 32 Challenge: track which of the 32 Commander color-identity combinations you've already played.
  • Tribal Challenge: collect popular creature types across your played cards.
  • Progress is tracked automatically from your own games – no manual checking off required.

Play groups & players (optional)

  • Create, switch between, and delete any number of play groups, each with its own game list and statistics overview.
  • Create and edit players, and set your own profile to select yourself faster when recording games.
  • Both features are individually optional – you can turn them on or off at any time in Settings.

Card search

  • Full-text search across the complete Magic card database via Scryfall.
  • Card details with rules text, mana cost, type, and set, right in the app.

Data & privacy

  • All data stays exclusively on your device – no cloud, no account, no registration.
  • Export and import your complete data as a single file, ideal for backups or switching devices.
  • Available in German and English.
